Aurora's Director of Engineering Named CTO of StarFabric Trade Association

Aurora Joins StarGen as Founding Member of StarFabric Trade Association

Brockton, MA, October 15, 2002 - Aurora Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of fabric and I/O connectivity solutions, announces that Frank Fitzgerald, the company's Director of Engineering, was named Chief Technology Officer of the StarFabric Trade Association at it's inaugural meeting. In addition to being a founding member of the Board of Directors, Fitzgerald was also elected as an executive officer.

"As CTO of the StarFabric Trade Association I am excited to play a vital role in the future development of the StarFabric Architecture and future migration to PCI-Express™ Advanced Switching," says Fitzgerald. The StarFabric Trade Association is a non-profit, open membership industry group responsible for owning, developing, and promoting the StarFabric switched interconnect technology. The association's membership includes a wide range of companies creating interoperable switches, bridges, and other components that leverage the existing StarFabric technology and address new applications and markets. StarFabric is fully compatible with existing PCI software and hardware while currently offering a seamless migration path to advanced switching technologies, such as PCI Express.
