Bob Sullivan Appointed to StarFabric Trade Association Board of Directors
Ayer, Massachusetts, August 22, 2002 -Bob Sullivan, Vice President and Corporate Di-rector of Technology at Hybricon Corporation, has been appointed to the Board of Di-rectors of the StarFabric Trade Association. As an active member of the StarFabric Working Group, and a sponsor of the PICMG® 2.17 CompactPCI® StarFabric Specifica-tion, Mr. Sullivan has been involved with the implementation of StarFabric for the past two years.
The StarFabric Trade Association is an open membership, non-profit organization that owns and provides licenses of the StarFabric technology to its members. The mission of the StarFabric Trade Association is to:
- Own and manage the StarFabric Architecture Specification
- Provide support for insuring interoperability
- Promote the adoption of StarFabric technology
Members of the Trade Association are able to create interoperable switch, bridge and other components which can leverage existing StarFabric components and address new applications and markets. The Trade Association will guide the future enhance-ments of the StarFabric architecture and ensure equal and unencumbered access to all interested companies.
