BittWare Joins StarFabric Trade Association as Founding Member
VP of Product Development Ron Huizen Appointed to Board of Directors
CONCORD, NH - July 9, 2002 - BittWare, Inc., an industry-leading provider of embedded SHARC® DSP products, announced today that it has joined the StarFabric Trade Association as a founding member. BittWare will collaborate with StarGen, a leading fabless semiconductor company and the original developer of StarFabric, and other trade association members to develop integrated DSP systems using the StarFabric interconnect technology.

Combining our integrated SHARC DSP system expertise with StarFabric interconnect technology will allow us to provide our customers with scalable, high-bandwidth DSP system solutions," said Ron Huizen, vice president of product development at BittWare. "StarFabric's PCI compatibility mode allows for seamless integration with existing systems." Huizen will serve on the association's board of directors.

The StarFabric Trade Association is a non-profit, open membership industry group comprised of a wide range of organizations that are actively involved in developing the StarFabric architecture. This architecture is the basis of the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG) standards PICMG 2.17 CompactPCI StarFabric specification and 3.3 AdvancedTCA StarFabric Specification. The association is also promoting awareness of the StarFabric switched interconnect technology. The founding members of the StarFabric Trade Association represent a broad spectrum of industry leaders who provide the diverse perspective necessary to ensure that StarFabric continues to meet the dynamic market requirements of the next generation of embedded and communications systems.
